Cardinal Point Vineyard & Winery are excited to hold their second running event this spring...the Rockfish Red 4 Miler! With the days getting longer and warmer, runners can experience a Friday night "group run" and post-race party and picnic with family and friends. The race starts and finishes in the vineyard and winds its way through some of the most scenic back roads in central Virginia.
Spectacular mountain views, a performance gender-specific tech shirt, a commemorative wine glass with wine samplings from Cardinal Point Vineyard's fantastic vintages, live music on the veranda, a post-race awards ceremony and food (for purchase).

$30 - Early - until April 26, 2015
$40 - Late - April 27 through race day (not guaranteed a shirt)
Note: there is a small processing fee in addition to registration fees.
Race day is Friday, May 8, 2015. If inclement weather, race day will be Saturday, May 9th. Please make sure you can make both dates, as there are no refunds.
Participants that register early are guaranteed a shirt; late and race day registrants are not. Please register by April 26th to ensure a shirt.
Refund & Transfer Policy...
There are NO refunds. A transfer of your race entry to another runner is allowed. Please email your request by Monday, May 4th to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The out-and-back four mile course will start and end at Cardinal Point Vineyard, just a short drive off of route 151 in scenic Nelson County. The mainly asphalt course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills and is walker-friendly.
Packet pick-up will be at Cardinal Point Vineyard (directions) on Friday, May 9th from 5:00-5:45 PM. Race will start promptly at 6:00 PM.
Overall Male & Female - A basket of goodies and a bottle of wine from Cardinal Point Vineyard
Division Winners (8-11, 12-15, 16-20) - 1st place winners will receive a bottle of sparkling grape juice
Division Winners (21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over) - 1st place winners get a bottle wine from Cardinal Point Vineyards
Post Race Party…it’s more than just a run!
This isn't "just a race", it is an event, and one that is a bit competitive, a tad unique and a lot of fun! After you cross the finish line,Cardinal Point's experienced staff will be on hand to share with you their passion for their delectable vintages.
A wine purchasing station will be available for those of you that have already decided your favorite spirit for the party. You must be at least 21 years old to partake in the wine tastings so please bring proper ID.
Delicious Dishe food truck will be on-site on race day so that you can stay and enjoy the music and awards ceremony.
We will have Chris & Goose singing their soulful tunes we love, and plenty of grass for your picnic blanket and chairs, so that you can settle in for an evening of great wine, toe-tappin' live music, yummy eats and an awesome sunset!
